The Evaluation System of the Sustainable Development of Municipal Solid Waste Landfills and Its Application

Improving the understanding of stabilization process is great significance to guide sustainable development municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills. An evaluation system MSW landfills has been established. The indices involve degradation degree MSW, release landfill gas production potential, and settlement Based on biochemical-consolidation-solute migration coupled model, an method proposed by combining field tests with numerical simulation. Jiangcungou in China investigated using method. analyzed results show that high kitchen content can be divided into three stages, which different from developed countries. For landfill, ratio cellulose lignin decreases rapidly during fast stage when obvious occurs. During slow stage, hydrolysis rate develops slowly.
